"All
of us, as responsible citizens, have a special obligation to contribute to the
social and economic empowerment of women," the Prime Minister said.
The meaning of Woman Empowerment in India is as follows:

It means to encourage women to
have patience to bear the cruelities of society.

It means to take balanced diet
to enable oneself to perform dual function of housewife and working woman in
perfect way.
·
In case of social injustice
such as eve teasing or rape a woman should be empowered to bear the
indifference of society.
·
In case of any kind of physical
or mental weakness she should be empowered to let others decide things for her.
·
It means to encourage woman to
carry on her marriage throughout life although she is happy with it or not.
·
A woman should be mentally empowered
to be slave of men in society.
